Statement of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UK


The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in London calls on Uzbek compatriots and representatives of the diaspora in the UK, British partner organizations and companies with a request to provide support to Uzbekistan in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic that has swept the whole world.

Fully realizing its responsibility for the health and well-being of the population of the republic, as well as its role in ensuring the stable development and prosperity of the Central Asian region, Uzbekistan’s leadership is undertaking massive efforts to prevent the spread of the disease.

Since the quarantine measures is negatively affecting the socio-economic situation in the country, the people of Uzbekistan are striving to overcome the difficulties encountered in a united manner. Doctors and nurses, risking their health, are courageously helping the infected people. Teachers and tutors are conducting classes via TV and the Internet for schoolchildren and students, who can’t attend the schools due to quarantine. Ministries, companies and charity organizations are helping people in need and difficult position.

Your support to the people of Uzbekistan and contribution to tackling the problem in this difficult period can be of great importance in terms of saving lives amid the threat of coronavirus infection.

You can provide assistance in the following ways:

By providing humanitarian assistance, especially medical equipment and medicines (coronavirus test kits, lung ventilation systems, oxygen cylinders, medicines, personal protective equipment - masks, gloves, etc.). The campaign has been initiated by the “Bilim” Cultural and Educational Charitable Foundation in London with the support of Uzbek compatriots and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UK.
