Uzbekistan, along with a number of other countries in the world, is facing consequences of COVID-19 pandemic on the economy and social area, including on the lives of people in cities and regions.

TASHKENT, April 16 – The novel coronavirus pandemic has caused significant damage to the world economy. According to preliminary estimates from the International Labor Organization (ILO), up to 25 million individuals will lose their jobs globally as a direct result of COVID-19—Uzbekistan is no exception. 

Exporters are paid an increased portion of transportation costs for the export of their products by the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade through compensation.

The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in London calls on Uzbek compatriots and representatives of the diaspora in the UK, British partner organizations and companies with a request to provide support to Uzbekistan in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic that has swept the whole world.
