DIASPORA WILL HELP TO INCREASE UZBEKISTAN’S EXPORT TO THE UK MARKET

On April 28, 2020 the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London organized a videoconference with representatives of Uzbek diaspora doing business in the United Kingdom to discuss the issues increasing the import of organic, fresh & dried fruits, vegetables and textiles produced in Uzbekistan to the British market. The participants exchanged views on the diversifying the goods collection and supply chains, certification of Uzbek products entering the British market, optimising the transport costs and active engagement with wholesalers, retailers, insurance companies and clearing agents. It was agreed to hold such events on a regular basis with the involvement of more stakeholders, which would be beneficial for both Uzbek exporters and the UK consumers.
